I was honoured to be awarded a 2023 Artist Driven Major Project Grant  by the Edmonton Arts Council, to support the work of a collective of dancers, sound artist, tech director and myself, the painter. From a workshop performance at Mile Zero Dance, "Beyond the Frame" Collective was born, consisting of Janita Frantsi, Kathleen Hughes and myself, Ania Telfer. 

How does a painter manifest a dance? 

How does a painting exist outside a canvas? 

How can a dancer choreograph a painting? 

Beyond The Frame explores how paintings transcend the canvas through dancers' embodied movements, merging dance, painting, new media, and sound to create immersive, expressive art pieces that highlight the dynamic interaction between visual and kinetic forms.
